Darlene Hanson Obituary December 21, 1938 Ronan, MT December 26, 2023 Mesa, AZ Darlene Reta Allred Hanson was the youngest of four children born to Minnie Idella and George Q Allred. Reta graduated from high school in Charlo, MT. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert James Hanson on December 27th, 1958. Bob and Reta had five children, Debra Ann, James Randall, Rory Jay and Robbie Lee, who both died days after birth, a couple years apart. Ricky Gene, their last child, was considered a miracle. Reta was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served in various callings in the church, always willing to help others whenever needed. Reta enjoyed singing with her good friend, Jan Stevens on many occasions in Polson, MT. She loved Jan and considered her to be the sister she never had, keeping in touch with each other throughout the many years. Reta also enjoyed camping with her family and good friends, Gordon and Dalene Doney and their children. In their later years Bob and Reta enjoyed traveling. Their last home together was in Plains, MT. Bob especially enjoyed Plains. His brother Roy and wife Jo lived there, and they worked and played together. When Bob died in August of 2014, Reta packed up and went to Arizona to be with her son Ric. Being alone was not easy for Reta. She desperately missed Bob. Reta was preceded in death by her sweetheart, Bob Hanson, her infant sons, Rory and Robbie, her daughter, Debra Ann Mantei, grandson's, Kyle and Kevin, her parents, Minnie Idella and George Q Allred, and brothers, Merrill, George Jr and Lu Dean Allred. Reta was able to depart this life one day prior to her and Bob's 65th wedding anniversary. What a celebration that must have been! The family would like to thank Kathy Willson of Arizona, who was a true friend, always checking on mom taking her places she needed to go and just loving her and making her feel special, Kathy was a friend to the end.
