Kelly Marie Sherick Frank
July 17, 1963 – July 5, 2025
Kelly Marie Sherick Frank passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, surrounded by family at
her beloved home on the Bull River in Montana. She was 61.
Kelly was born on July 17, 1963, in Polson, Montana, to David and Carol Sherick. She grew
up in Polson alongside her sisters, Tracy (born 1966) and Tammy (born 1969), and
graduated from Polson High School in 1981. She went on to attend the University of
Montana and made Missoula her home for many years.
Throughout her life, Kelly embraced a wide range of work experiences, holding positions at
Marshalls Cable, Southgate Mall, The Electric Co-op, Targhee Range School, Rattlesnake
Garden, and many others. No matter the job, Kelly brought her characteristic warmth,
energy, humor and compassion to every role.
In 1993, she met the love of her life, Patrick Frank, a local attorney. They married in 1999
and spent their years together between Missoula & Noxon Montana, and Sarasota, Florida.
Their life was filled with many friends, love, adventure, and mutual devotion.
Kelly had a generous heart and loved giving back to others. She volunteered at Sarasota
Memorial Hospital in Florida and at Community Medical Center in Missoula, offering
comfort and support to patients and staff alike. Helping people and giving her time was a
source of deep purpose and joy for her.
Among Kelly’s greatest joys was being an aunt. She played a vital role in the lives of her
niece, Rudi , and her nephew, Sam, whom she helped raise with love, laughter, and devotion.
She was an extraordinary aunt—a guiding light in their lives.
In 2014, Kelly was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She faced the illness with unshakable
strength and optimism, bravely fighting for 11 years with grace and resolve. Her spirit never
wavered, and she inspired everyone who walked alongside her.
Kelly was preceded in death by her mother, Carol Sherick; her grandparents; and her
brothers-in-law, Mo Brown and Tod Frank. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Frank;
father, David Sherick; sisters, Tracy Sherick(Kris Young) and Tammy Brown; nephew, Sam
Matelich; and niece, Rudi Brown. As well as many loving friends and extended family.
Kelly’s legacy is one of kindness, courage, humor, and quiet strength. She touched many lives
and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A small memorial service will be held at a later date.
