March 31, 1946 –April 11, 2025
Phyllis Clements, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-
grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by
family. She was 79 years old.
Phyllis was born on March 31, 1946, in Berkeley, California, and
grew up in the Bay Area. It was there she met the love of her life,
Carl Clements. The two were married on December 30, 1966, and
built a life together filled with love, laughter, and strong faith.
They lived in Salinas, California, where Phyllis worked as a
bookkeeper and preschool teacher at Salinas Christian School. In 1977, the family
moved to Springdale, Arkansas, where Phyllis spent over 20 years working at Danaher
Tool Company. A devoted Christian, she found joy in her faith and her church
community.
Phyllis loved spending time with her family—her greatest treasures in life. She
especially adored her grandchildren, Brandon, Brooke, and Spencer, and her precious
great-grandson, Behr. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and
participating in activities at the Springdale Senior Center.
Phyllis was known for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and her willingness to always lend
a listening ear. Her life was a testimony of love, patience, and grace.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl; her brothers, Norman and
Gene Pinkley; her sisters-in-law, Charlotte Pinkley and Peggy Strickland; and her
brothers-in-law, Jim Clements, Cohen Strickland, and Bill Heath.
She is survived by her children: Christina (Rob Smith) of Rogers, AR; Cheryl (Chris
Jones) of Chula Vista, CA; and Jeff Clements of Huntsville, AR. Her grandchildren:
Taylor Smith of Roger, AR, Brandon Teague of Bentonville, AR, Brooke Breazeal (Zach)
of Bentonville, AR, and Spencer Jones (Hazzie) of Providence Village, TX., and her
great-grandson, Behr. She is also survived by her brother, Carroll Pinkley of Pea Ridge,
AR; sisters-in-law, Jeannie Pinkley of Plains, MT, Betty Pinkley of Huntsville, AR, and
Patsy Heath of Leeds, AL.
Phyllis’s life touched so many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all
who knew and loved her.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that
donations be made to the Springdale Senior Center or a charity of your choice in her
memory.
