Robin Lee Ovitt

July 5, 1952 — February 22, 2015

Robin Lee Ovitt went to be with her Lord on February 22, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Robin was born July 5th, 1952 in Yakima, WA to Donna & John Machin. She later moved with her family to Plains. Robin graduated from Plains High School in 1971. Robin met her future husband, Doug in 1971 when he was home on leave from the Army. They later married on July 22, 1972. From this union came 3 children, Donna Lee, Russel Douglas and Angela Lee. Robin loved the ocean, she spent many an hour there walking on the beach. Robin was very artistic, crafty and creative. She shared many of her paintings and crafts with family and friends. Robin was responsible for raising the funds to get a wheel chair lift installed at the Plains Pool after her baby brother Toby was paralized. Her biggest joy in life was her children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The happiest time for Robin was when she was surrounded by kids. If there were babies around, you would find Robin getting her 'baby fix.' Robin was proceded in death by her very loved step-father, Roland McCea, her sister, Kathy Ann Legard, her precious daughter, Donna Lee and many other loved ones. Robin is survived by her mother, Donna Lee McCrea; her loving husband Doug Ovitt; her son, Russell Ovitt; daughter Angela Ovitt; granddaughter Dezi Ovitt; grandsons Beau and James Ovitt; brothers, Neal and Toby; and sister Julie; Gary and Linda, Dennis and Helen, Winnie and Steve, Tim and Karen, and lots of other brother and sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews from Washington to Maryland and other loved ones. All of the people that had the opportunity to be part of her life should know that she was a funny, caring and loving person. She always listened and helped whoever needed her. Robin had a huge heart of gold and the people that didn't have the opportunity to know or be part of her life, she would have cherished you forever too. She was stubborn, willful and very opinionated, but we always knew she loved us no matter what. The world will be forever changed without her.
