Kazmierczak
May 24, 1938 — Oct 1, 2026
Ron Kazmierczak was born in Laona, Wisconsin, on May 24, 1938. He graduated from Laona High School and attended St. Norbert College, the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, Oshkosh State College, San Francisco State College, and the University of Montana.
In 1958, Ron enlisted in the United States Army and was sent to Berlin, Germany. During his tour in Berlin, the Berlin Wall was built. He was discharged in 1962 and returned to the University of Montana to finish his college education. He graduated from the U of M in 1965 with a B.S. in Forest Management.
While in college, he met Patricia Klavano, and they married in Aberdeen, Washington, on October 23, 1965.
They moved to Thompson Falls in September 1966, where they raised their children, Ronnie, Carie, Henry, and Gene. Ron and Pat were married for 55 years. Their marriage was built on love, respect, and friendship, and it set an example for their children and all who knew them. They were selfless supporters of their children and grandchildren in all their activities.
Ron started the Knights of Columbus group in Thompson Falls and later served as Montana State Deputy. He worked for the Pack River Company as Land Manager and Log Buyer until 1980, then became a private consulting forester and an insurance agent for Grange Insurance. Ron was ordained a Deacon in the Catholic Church in August 1991 and served until his death.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and Henry Kazmierczak, and his wife, Patricia.
He is survived by his children, Ron (Sandra), Carie (Jeff), Henry (Julie), and Gene (Aneka); the Velazco family, Ricardo, Adriana, and Veronica; his grandchildren, Tony, Victoria, Cameron, Kyle, Taylor, and Coleton; and many great-grandchildren.
Our family is grateful to Charlie, Elizabeth, and Heather for the love, care, and encouragement they gave Dad
