Ronald George Schwehr

Ronald Schwehr Obituary Ronald George Schwehr (79) lived in Thompson Falls, MT. Ron was born April 22, 1945 in Bremerton, WA to Eva and Phil Schwehr. He grew up in Billings, MT and graduated from Billings Central High in 1963. He was drafted into the Air Force in 1963 and served as a Forward Weather Observer in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1967. He attended MSU-Billings in 1967 and graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting. Ron married Gayle Peterson and they later divorced. They had three children together: Russell John, Aaron Carl and Janelle Lynn. Ron worked at MDU for many years in the cities of Billings, MT; Bismarck, ND; Wolfpoint, MT; and Williston, ND. He enjoyed woodworking, hiking, and the mountain scenery. Ron was preceded in death by Eva and Phil Schwehr. He is survived by his sons Russell (Laura Carlsen), Aaron (Shana), and daughter Janelle. He is also survived by brothers Dennis (Diane), Charles (Margo), James (Karen), Tim (Irene), Ray (Sherrie), Jeff, and sister Peggy (Greg). He leaves behind five grandchildren: Shantel, Spencer, Avery, Jett and Vivi. Ron cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was grateful for Dennis and the time they spent together. A celebration of Ron's life will be held at Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula on August 9, 2024 at 1:30PM.
