Virgina Mary Larson

August 9, 1924 — January 27, 2016

At the age of 91 years young, Virginia Mary Marich Larson, passed from this earth on January 27, 2016. She died gracefully of natural causes at the Village Health Care center in Missoula, MT. Virginia was born in Lime Quarry, Montana on August 9, 1924 to John and Rose (Jasso) Marich. Virginia was a lovely, kind, funny, and generous woman. She was a tower of strength and courage.

Virginia was a very social and creative women. She never knew a stranger and listened to all. Everyone who met Virginia loved her.

She belonged to the following clubs. Home Demonstration, 4-H, Pinochle, Bridge, Senior Citizens, Red Hats, Thompson Falls Woman's club, Square Dance club, and the Thompson Falls community church and Woman's fellowship. Most of all she enjoyed her extended family.

Virginia sewed, painted, cooked, gardened, fished, canned, quilted, and baked the best pie crust ever. She was know as the "Princess/Queen of Crochet"; afghans, pot holders, cotton dish rags, and whatever the need was. She was an expert Pinochle and Bridge player and won many prizes.

During her adult life Virginia lived in White Pine, Thompson Falls, and Missoula.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Harold Larson, her parents, her brothers Stanley Marich and John Marich Jr., her sisters Anna Faulkner and Florence Marich, and grandson Stephen Ray Babcock.

Virginia is survived by her daughters Susan Larson Kuntz of Missoula MT, and Sally Larson (Ray) Babcock or Bozeman MT, and son Edward (Nancy) Larson of Osburn, ID.

She is also survived by her brothers Andrew (Letty) Marich and Nicholas (Adrienne) Marich of Thompson Falls, James (CoLene) Marich of Walker, MN and her sister Marie (James) Fox of Cottage Grove, OR.

She is also survived by her Grandchildren Ken (Tracey) and Erick (Kyu) Larson, Mike, John (Heidi), and Cindy Kuntz, and Mary (Shawn) Black.

She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; Madison, Kennedy, and Abby Larson. Kel and Miley Larson, Ozzy, Margaret, and Hilda Kuntz, Adam James "AJ" Kuntz, and Marina and Sydney Black as well as various nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Virginia's life will be held and the White Pine Community United Methodist Church, 16 White Pine Lane, Trout Creek, MT 59874 on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00pm. Memorials may be made to Stephen Ray Babcock fund at MSU Foundation, P.O. Box 173750 Bozeman, MT 59717.
