Andrew Thomas Bunch, 42, passed away on February 2, 2023 as the result
of a fall at his home.
Andrew was born on January 21, 1981 at Missoula, the son of Bob and
Heather (Phoenix) Bunch. The family moved to Plains that year and Andrew
attended Plains schools from kindergarten through high school,
graduating in 1999. He was active in drama and JMG and was always happy
and well loved by his fellow students.
Andrew was employed at Coffelt-Bunch Funeral Service until 2002 when he
was injured in a single car rollover in which he suffered traumatic
brain injuries. After several years of rehabilitation, he was able to
live on his own and he moved to Thompson Falls where he lived until 2011
when he moved back to Plains to live with his family.
Andrew loved music and enjoyed performing karaoke at the local bars. He
especially loved the music of John Prine and Tom Waits as well as many
others.
Andrew will be missed by his family and by his many friends who meant so
much to him.
He is survived by his parents, both of Plains; two brothers, Martin
Alver and wife Robin of Louisville, KY and John Alver and wife Sarah and
their son, Gabriel Alver, all of Albuquerque, NM and many aunts, uncles
and cousins.
A special thank you to the Plains Ambulance and Clark Fork Valley
Emergency staff, especially Dr. Karen Thornton, for their help and care.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
Sunset Hills Funeral Home in Plains is in charge of arrangements.
