On February 17, 2021 Lavon Charlotte Huckabay was called home to be with her beloved husband in Heaven. Lavon was born February 24, 1948; six days from celebrating her 73 birthday. Lavon was born in Spokane to Eleanor and Gustave Peterson, she was the only child born into this marriage. Due to COVID her family was not able to be with her the past month as she was in the hospital.
Lavon lived most of her life in Spokane, and then moved to Montana which truly became her home.
Lavon was well known for her Christmas boxes of goodies she would make every year, her cooking for a crowd even if there was only a few, her quilts, cross stitching, love, kind heart and soul. Lavon enjoyed to traveling, camping, and to be with her family. Lavon was a friend to all that met her and would lend a hand when she was able. Lavon lived for her grandbabies and her great grandbabies, they were her world.
Lavon, was a true survivor she had beat cancer, lived with congestive heart failure for years, along with many other aliments… she was a true fighter right until the end. She fought until she could not fight anymore.
Lavon is survived by her children Keith Huckabay (Bonnie) Dayton WA, Lynnann Huckabay; Plains MT, and Nawatha Campbell (Prentiss) Plains MT. Lavon is also survived by her grandchildren Christopher Campbell (Krista) Blackfoot Idaho, Kelli Davis (Dallas) Hot Srings MT, Austin Campbell (Phillip) Sidney MT, Aaron Campbell (Blayze) Paradise MT, and Katie Ann Yavonne (unknown). Our mom held a special place in lots of hearts and many others called her “mom” or “grandma” .
Lavon is also survived by her great grandbabies: Alexa, Ryan and Tegan Campbell all of Blackfoot ID, and Edyn Hazel Davis of Hot Springs MT.
Lavon is proceeded in death by her husband and love of her life Robert Huckabay in 2012, Her parents Eleanor and Gustave Peterson as well as her grandparents, and twin grandbabies she never got to love and hold and several cousins who whom were like her siblings.
