Obituary

William B (Bill) Saint

Bill Saint went to Heaven with Jesus on July 30, 2023, one month after his 75th birthday.

He was born in Thorton Hospital in Missoula on July 1, 1948 to Howard R (Bob) and Sylvia M. Saint. He joined his older sister, Inez. The family lived on Preston Ave. in Thompson Falls until 1953 when they purchased the ranch on Cherry Creek Road where Bill lived until his passing. He graduated from Thompson Falls High School in 1966. In November of that year he enlisted in the US Navy and "went to war". After his enlistment, he attended the University of Montana and graduated with a degree in Sociology and Psychology. He later attended Kinman Business School in Spokane and received a certificate in accounting and tax preparation. Bill's first paying job was picking sticks and rocks at what is now River Bend Golf Course. His next job, one that took him through High School, was working as a printer's devil at the Ledger with Jack Stevens.

In 1977 Bill joined the Postal Service and remained there until his retirement in 2004 as a Postmaster in Thompson Falls. After retirement, he went to work for the Thompson Falls School District as a substitute teacher and janitor.

In April of 1989, he married Heather and together they had two children, son Alexander Saint (Rory) and daughter Shannon Kimmell (Andrew).

Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife and children, sister Inez and her son Robert in LaLuz, NM, brother in law HUgh McLaughlin (Vicky) of Apache Jct, AZ., sister in law Becky Black (Bob) of Kalispell, MT. Local niece Melissa Wilson (John) and numerous loved nieces, nephews, cousins and other claimed and unclaimed relatives.

Bill believed deeply in his Savior Jesus Christ and now resides with Him. He believed he had a good life despite the trials and tribulations. His highest compliment about anyone was "they are a good worker". He was a good worker and a good man. He will be greatly missed.

There will be services planned at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory, he requested Ronald McDonald House Charities, Rex Theater, and Sanders County Dog Park.
